Ariel Eva Tuadraq Atauchaq Tweto was her birth name when she was born. Alya, her sister is too a Tweto. They first met when her father played pro hockey in Alaska as a way to draw more attention to the game. Her father fell in love and got married to her mother. They later started their own Era Alaska aviation company. Ariel, Alya and their kids grew up in Nome census the state of Alaska. Ariel studied at Emerson College. Alya graduated with an education in communications from Chapman University. Ariel's career in acting began as the teen age, when she appeared in the popular TV show Wipeout. She was famous after the incident in which she inquired of her mother about the presence of a pole that she did not notice. The interest of the public for this girl's story led the producers to contact the Tweto family about doing a reality series on their experiences in Alaskan wilderness. Jim Tweto, the father of the young girl may initially be skeptical, but then he agrees to allow cameras to be used into the work place. Era Alaska still operates as the company of his bush pilots. The reality series Flying Wild Alaska by Discovery Channel has been a cult hit since it brought to all-time sharpness the problems the Tweto family faces as they manage their business in aviation. For many Americans the challenge of living in an environment which evokes the beginning of the Wild West is riveting. When faced with nature's sometimes brutal cruelty the fans are able to sympathize with and cheer with Twetos who win. With Jim sitting in the pilot's seat and his wife Ferno controlling everything on the ground, the family is never short of action. Ariel is a positive person in the middle of all this. With the parents of Ariel, Jim and Ferno both being pilots it's only natural that Ariel began to take an interest in flying at a young stage of her life. The 2011 to 2012 season of Flying Alaska follows Ariel's training as a pilot ultimately earning her pilot's license in the month of April 2012. Then she takes over the operation of the company's family-owned flying operation following the retirement of her dad. Alaskans have expressed concern about the 7-fold rise in rate of suicide among teens compared to the national average. Ariel has responded by co-founding Popping Bubbles. She visits school and youth groups to talk to young people about how they can live the lives they want and follow their goals, not succumb to depression.
