Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington has been an Greek American columnist, author and entrepreneur for more than twenty years. She founded The Huffington Post, is the founder and CEO of Thrive Global as well an writer of 15 novels. Arianna Huffington is a journalist, television personality, philanthropist and also the proprietor and editor of The Huffington Post. When she moved from Greece to England from Greece at the age of 16, she received a MA with Economics from Cambridge University. When she was 21, she became the head of the famous debating society The Cambridge Union' and was the first foreign student in the history of Cambridge University to be elected. When she graduated, she made her name as a conservative syndicated columnist and, with the launching of The Huffington Post' few years later she created an online voice platform that provided critical views regarding the state of affairs. Her celebrity status helped her to get a number of prominent contributors to share their opinions on news, politics, and other topics. Arianna gained fame after she decided to stand as an independent Candidate for the California Recall Election in order to succeed the former governor Davis. The project she headed was a Detroit automobile project that was fuel efficient. Forbes named her as 12th on its top 10 list of Most influential women in the media. Guardian also included the HuffingtonPost in their Top 100 list in 2010. AOL Inc. acquired The Huffington Post, and she became the president of this group. It included a variety of AOL properties at the time such as Engadget AOL style list and Patch Media. Elli has two siblings, Konstantinos Stasinopoulos and Elli and Konstantinos Stasinopoulos, who both are journalist and management consultants. The way she lived her life was determined by the closeness she had to her mother and her bond with her father, despite being extremely close to him. In her earliest period, she displayed abilities to lead, and for this are still prominently known. At the age of 16, she returned to the UK for a degree and attended Girton College Cambridge. She joined the Cambridge Union college debate society throughout her college years in which she became the first woman to be elected the president. She graduated in 1972 with the degree of Master's in Economics. Her professional career as a journalist and television host was born after graduation.
