Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington resides in the US and is a Greek-American author, syndicated journalist as well as a businesswoman. She is a founder of The Huffington Post and the chief executive officer of Thrive Global. Author of more than 15 books. Arianna Huffington has worked as an actor, journalist, philanthropist and author for more than ten years. Her role also includes being the founder of The Huffington Post, an independently-liberal online newsmagazine. Her birthplace was Greece she was able to move to England at the age of sixteen and then completed her studies at Cambridge University with an MA in Economics. The well-known debating club The Cambridge Union was her first presidency and she did it at the age of 21. When she graduated, she made her name as a conservative syndicated columnist as well as with the introduction of The Huffington Post' few years later she created an online voice portal which gave critical opinions on the political scenario. The fame she gained enabled her to get a variety of stars to voice their views regarding current affairs, the political and culture. Arianna first gained notoriety when she ran in California's recall vote, to succeed Governor Davis. In addition to this she also led the Detroit Project for efficient vehicles that use less fuel. Forbes listed her as the most influential woman in the field of media in 2009. She ranked 12th on the ranking. The Guardian also included her on the top 100 list of media for 2009. AOL acquired The Huffington Post from AOL in 2011. Then she was appointed the head of the media division at AOL. The group included several AOL owned properties like Engadget AOL Style List and Patch Media. She was the daughter of journalist and manager Konstantinos along with his partner Elli Stasinopoulos. Although she had a close relationship with father, her relationship to her mom shaped the remainder of her life. She displayed leadership qualities throughout her childhood. When she was sixteen, she left America to United Kingdom and enrolled Girton College Cambridge. While in college she joined Cambridge Union, a college debate club. The third female president and first foreigner, she was the president for the Cambridge Union. In 1972, she earned the degree of Master in Economics. After her graduation she worked as a journalist-critic and a host on TV. Also, with Bernard Levin she appeared on an edition of Face the music.
