Anna Paquin

Anna Paquin was born in Winnipeg and raised in Wellington. She was the first actress to make her acting debut in Flora McGrath in the romantic drama film Piano. Paquin is a native of Winnipeg and grew up in Wellington and made her debut in the role of Flora McGrath when she played the character in The Piano. She won an Academy Award at the age of 11 to be the Best Actress Supporting Actress. Anna Paquin full name Anna Helene Paquin was born on July 24, 1982 in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada. Canadian-born New Zealand actor who won the Academy Award as a youngster in the category of Best Supporting actress for portraying the bright and curious daughter of Holly Hunter's main character on the film The Piano. In addition, she played a leading role in Fly Away Home, a movie from the same year. Paquin played Frankie Addams, a character from Carson McCullers' novel The Member of the Wedding in 1997. In Steven Spielberg's Amistad in 1997 in which she played the queen of Spain in a lesser part. The actress played teens on the screen in Hurlyburly (1998) She's All That (1999) and A Walk on the Moon (1999) and portrayed the groupie Polexia Aphrodisa in Almost Famous (2000).
