Deepika Padukone

Deepika Padukone is an Indian actress who is mainly seen in Hindi film. The actress has won three Filmfare Awards have been given to her, which makes her one of India's top financially successful actresses. Time Magazine ranked Padukone as one of the 100 most influential individuals with influence around the world for 2018. They also awarded her The TIME100 Impact Award 2022. Padukone is the child of tennis winner Prakash Padukone. Padukone was born in and grew up in Bangalore. In her teens, Padukone competed in badminton championships at the national level. In the end, she quit her sport in pursuit of a job as a fashion stylist. The model soon began receiving offers for film roles and began her acting career in the year 2006, playing the title character of The Kannada film, Aishwarya. Padukone was then cast in the double role of Shah Rukh Khan opposite her in Om Shanti Om (2007) which was her first Bollywood release. This film won Padukone she won the Filmfare Award Best Female Debut. Padukone was praised for her role as the lead character in Love Aaj Kal, but she suffered a brief backlash.
